Maria Rosales is a fine art and freelance photographer based in Denver, CO. Maria’s interest in photography began in 2015 when she took her first photography class in middle school. She later rediscovered her passion in 2022 when taking an introductory photography course at Colorado Mesa University. She later transferred to the University of Colorado Denver where she began her photography degree and started freelance photography. 

Maria works primarily with digital photography for her freelance work. Her digital projects include portraits as well as landscapes and cityscapes. Her portrait work includes headshots, senior photos, family portraits, engagement photos, pet portraits, and more. Maria’s more personal landscape photography focuses primarily on the Denver area, but she also takes landscapes during her travels. 

Maria also enjoys working with film photography. In her thesis project, At the Estate Sale, she used black and white film and developed silver gelatin prints in the darkroom. Her film projects are typically centered on exploring the world of abandoned objects, whether found at antique stores, estate sales, or the side of the road. Maria also enjoys taking color film on her travels to capture landscapes and memories.
